The Biarritz Boys are a cutting edge surf-combo from Nijmegen, The Netherlands. There reverb-drenched pumping sound will make you dance and stomp all night long and scream for en encore when it's all over, leaving echos of Dick Dale and The Lively Ones in your ears for days to come. Well dressed, Fender amps waxed and shiny, the Boys are always there to party.

During the hot summer of 2000 four (then) young gods from Nijmegen, The Netherlands - El Merino, Ajoen Jeroen, O'Miel en Japstar - made a commitment on the endless beaches of Biarritz. Bathing in the red glow of the sunset while a sultry evening breeze blew through their (then) hair, they made a pact to start a band which would completely dedicate itself to instrumental surf like it was played in the swinging '60s by million-selling acts such as Dick Dale, The Lively Ones and The Fender IV. The Biarritz Boys were born.
Since that scene of romance The Boys have played all over Europe, sharing the stage with the greats in the genre - from Surfer Joe to Daikaju, Messer Chups to the Phantom Four – as well as roots-royalty to the likes of The Paladins and John Spencer’s Blues Explosion.
Giving back as much as possible to the surf scene, The Boys often organise shows for touring surf bands and hosted their own Surf By Surf East (SXSE) festival.
Their sound takes of the best of the classic Californian surf sound and an energetic original input.
Although highly active in performing live, their output on wax is a more rare occasion.
After releasing a self-titled EP early in their career, their official debut was put out in 2010, capturing 13 original surf songs, receiving positive reviews and making it to the to the list of best surf releases of the 2010’s on Surf Storm of Reverb
Today, The Biarritz Boys – finally - present their second full length in 20 years: Inside Clean Waves. Eleven new banger for you to party to. Enjoy!
